Adoption Prices and Application
You must submit a completed puppy application to be considered for approved buyer status for any current and/or upcoming/future litter. The anticipated puppy go-home date is 9 -10 weeks after whelping.
Pricing
The pups are sold at between $3800 and $4600, pricing will be determined on a ‘per litter’ basis and published with the litter information/plans once that becomes available.
$600.00 Nonrefundable Commitment Deposit
- $100.00 is due upon approval of the Application and is required to be placed on our waiting list. After applicants are notified of their approved status, an invoice will be emailed to them.
- $500.00 is due from “Approved” buyers 3-5 days AFTER litter is whelped. An invoice will be emailed to assigned families and is due upon receipt. Prompt payment will ensure your place on the list to get a pup from this litter.
1st Payment: ($1,500.00-$2,000.00)
An invoice will be sent via email to each buyer at or around 4 weeks of age of the pups. Payment is due upon receipt. Prompt/on-time payment is expected to ensure your place on the list to get a pup from this litter. Late or missing payment will forfeit your pup and the $500.00 deposit.
2nd (Final) Payment
Balance due ($1,500.00 -$2,000.00) is payable in full when the puppy is picked up/go home day (9-11 weeks old). This payment must be in the form of a bank or certified check, money order or cash.
Purchase Price Inclusions
The following are included for the purchase of EACH pup:
- Have Tails Docked and Claws Removed 3 Days after Whelping (Depending on Vet Availability, MAY Be Done at 7 Weeks Old with Ear Crop)
- Will Have Ears Cropped at 7 Weeks of Age
- Have AKC Reunite Microchip Implanted by Our Vet at Six Weeks of Age. These Will Be Registered by Us to (1) the Buyer, (2) the Breeder, and (3) the Buyer’s Vet
- Be Up-to-Date on Vaccinations (Done by Our Vet at 6 Weeks and 8 Weeks of Age), Deworming, and Heart Worming (Started at 8 Weeks Old, Vet Rx – Sentinel)
- Come with an NYS Vet/Health Certificate (including Fecal Exam Results)
- Will Be Registered in AKC by Us FOR You – AKC Limited (Full AKC Registration IS Available to PRE-APPROVED Homes ONLY) Once Payment in Full Has Been Received.
- Will Begin Crate Training around 5 Weeks Old
- Will Be Introduced to Litter Box Training around 4 Weeks Old
- Will Receive the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test (PAT) Given by a Professional/Certified Trainer at Six Weeks Old and Will Be Matched by Us to Each Buyer Based on the Buyer’s Approved Application Wants/Needs/Plans for the Life of Their Doberman Pup
- Will Have Individual “Meet and Greets” Scheduled after 6 Weeks of Age – Once 1st Vaccination Has Been Given, PAT Done, and Puppies Assigned to Buyers by the Breeder
- Will Be Scheduled for “Go Home” Dates with Approved/Paid in Full Buyers for around 9-11 Weeks Old, After Ear Crop Sutures Have Been Removed and Pups’ Ears Have Been Posted at Least Once by the Breeder
All “Approved” Buyers will be sent a list of registered names to choose from for the theme of the litter produced. Call names, of course, will be left up to the buyer to choose and use. Please see our Puppy Application for additional information.

This is a GENERAL guide ONLY. Each actual litter will have specifics posted on its own page on our website.
Please be specific on your Puppy Application when stating your choice(s) and acceptance of “alternatives,” as well as your acceptance of an anticipated waiting time for an available pup.
When we are planning on or have a litter and are accepting Applications, be sure to watch your inbox for our response once you have submitted a COMPLETED Puppy Application. Sometimes, applications are filtered into Spam by our email server. Please reach out to our general mailbox within 7-10 days if you have not received a response after submitting an application.
Carefully and completely fill in ALL the questions on our application form. INCOMPLETE applications will not be processed/considered nor contacted.
Applications of “Approved” Buyers will be added to the sales contract as an addendum. If, for any reason, you are unable to download the Application, email us at dobermanfieldspuppyapplication@gmail.com, provide your FULL name and complete address, and request we mail an Application to you via the US Postal Service.
Only those with completed/approved applications will be added to our RESERVED/waiting list (Approved buyers list if we have a current litter with available pups). Once “Reservations” for any whelped litter are filled, approved buyers on the waiting list will be contacted FIRST if any “reserved” puppy becomes available.
